Absolutely delicious the fried chicken was the best my husband has ever had except my gma's and the fried chicken livers and gizzards were absolutely delicious so was very the homemade banana pudding nothing like the kind made from the pudding from a can like most restaurants serve .. very comfortable and personable the service was amazing hard to believe all of the best qualities in one small off the beaten path restaurant!! And as we travel to Oklahoma I have to say not one restaurant has even come close to having the his great service and delicious food ... and we have tried several..

Good selection of entries from salads or sandwiches to full plate meals. This is country cooking at its best. The rutabagas are out of this world and my personal favorite is the liver and onions with brown gravy. Check the board when you enter. If you see corn nuggets don't delay. Good selection of desserts too for those that have room after their meal

Surprisingly good food and service. The place is located in an industrial looking strip mall of some sort. Inside it is anything but fancy. I enjoyed a meat loaf, okra, sweet potato and a small dinner salad. Dessert was ... well, I can't recall what I had but I enjoyed it! The okra was burnt to a crisp but other than that, a pretty decent experience. Pricing is reasonable as well.

Closest thing to home cooked all at a great price. The rutabagas were better than mama's, fried cornbread was not the greatest but still really enjoyed my meal.

Stopped in here for a quick bite! It's next door to a motor sports store, looks small but the restaurant itself is actually fairly big- plenty of tables and booths available. Seat yourself but a server came over immediately with menus and a smile! Drink orders were taken and when they were brought out we were given a basket of fried cornbread for the table. The menu isn't huge but has all the southern comfort foods, which is what we were looking for on this rainy day! The kids menu has at least 12 different things on it, which is a plus for those picky eaters! The soup of the day was Cheeseburger, server brought over a sample and it was delicious. Decided to go with the vegetable beef soup and a small salad, also very delicious! Fried okra has always been a favorite and it was no different from here. The BLT was good, that bacon was perfection! If you are ever in the area definitely stop and check this place out!! The food is great and the staff is super friendly!!

We really enjoyed our meal at The Blue Plate South on our way back to Atlanta. We had been to the other location and enjoyed the food here just as much. Service was a bit slow but very friendly and efficient. The portions are huge and everything was fresh and delicious. I had the smothered chicken breast and my husband had the country fried steak. Veggies were homemade and prepared beautifully . . . not overcooked like you often see in meat and three spots. There is ample seating, but you may have to park a bit far away if you get there past 11:30. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

Found this gem on our way back to GA from Panama City. We love country cooking and diners and this one did not disappoint! I ordered a 3 vegetable-vegetable plate of mashed potatoes and gravy, purple hull peas and turnips. All 3 were absolutely delicious and I highly recommend! My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich and turnips. He really enjoyed his too. We were also served a basket of biscuits and small fried cornbread. The service was great and the country atmosphere was very cute. I only have one negative thing- I needed a bigger stomach to hold it all.
